Save The Monarch!

Overview: This is a card game that is designed for booth type of play such as a fair or carnival. It requires players to have tokens or chips to play the game. The prize returned to the winning player is the build up pot of tokens (treasure chest).

Needed: Standard deck of playing cards.
Setup: Remove all the Jokers, remove 3 queens.

Find the Monarch and win the gold!

The object of the game is to find the Monarch (the Queen), and return it to the dealer. The person who returns the Monarch will get the treasure. Watch out for pirates (jacks) they will steal your gold and put it in the treasure chest.

Each hand you will be dealt 5 cards.

Rules:

1. Join the table at the beginning of any hand.
2. Costs 2 chips to sit down at the table, first hand is free! Give the chips to the dealer. (these chips do not go into the treasure chest, they go to the dealer.)
3. To play a hand cost 1 chip. Give the chip to the dealer. (these chips do not go into the treasure chest, they go to the dealer.)
4. At the end of a hand you have to give back 2 cards to the dealer. You cannot give back more than 2 cards.
5. When returning cards to the dealer you first have to return the pirates (Jacks) that are in your hand.
6. When you return a pirate to the dealer you must place a chip into the treasure chest.
7. You cannot have a pirate in you hand when you return the Monarch to the dealer.
8. If the Monarch is in your hand and you do not have any pirates, you must give the Monarch to the dealer.
9. You may leave the table after any hand is completed.
10. When you leave the table you have to return all cards back to the dealer.

Dealer notes.

Start the pot (treasure chest) with 5 chips each game.
Add 1 chip to the treasure chest for each player that sits down at the table.
At the end of a hand shuffle all returned cards back into the deck. (recommended 3 shuffles and 1 split)
